JOB DESCRIPTION

Job title:  Automated Manufacturing Vision Engineer

Code:  59-30-00-120-704

Summary/Objective:  The Automated Manufacturing Vision Engineer is responsible for design, development, maintenance and support of automated Vision systems and software solutions used to inspect product quality. 

Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:

  1. Troubleshoot, provide root cause analysis and corrective actions for reported issues on current Production systems locally and abroad.
  2. Assist with supporting and maintaining image processing hardware and Windows-based PC systems.
  3. Design, develop and maintain image processing programs used for manufacturing quality assurance using proprietary languages.
  4. Design, develop and maintain software solutions using .NET technologies for the configuration and support of the automated inspection systems.
  5. Assist with installation and startup of automated image processing systems.

Required Experience:

  1. 5+ Years’ of programming experience (Object Oriented programming is preferred)
  2. Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  3. Organized and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously as priorities can change quickly.
  4. Experience with image processing systems and implementations desired.
  5. Proficient with C#, VB.NET, Visual Studio.
  6. Must be able to sit/stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes.

Education:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a relevant Engineering degree.
  2. Experience may be substituted for educational requirements.

Training required:

 

  1. On the job training as appropriate.
